Made it in to N Syndey this morning. Got off of the ferry and was welcomed by rain, heavy fog, and wind. Later the fog begin to break, and the wind was gone for a while. Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada to Mattawa, Ontario, Canada
Left Edmundston this morning. 48F and cloudy. Dodged a few rain storms for an hour or so. Later the sun came out and it began to warm up. Most of the rest of the day was spent riding in 25 - 35 mph cross winds. Mattawa, ON was the stop for tonight.

Ashland, Wisconsin, USA to Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada
Managed to get through Duluth, MN this morning even with all of the construction, detours, and congestion. Minnesota had some of the worst roads of the entire trip. North Dakota offered flat lands, straight roads, and strong cross winds and head winds. Crossed back over the border this afternoon into Canada. Stopped for the night in Estevan, SK.

Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada
Just another day of making miles. Day 5 ended this morning at 11:30am. I assume that means that I have finished half of the ride, or that I still have half of the ride to finish. Not sure which. Today's ride was similar to yesterday. A little cooler, light traffic except for in the larger cities, and the winds were not quite as bad. Fort Saskatchewan is home for tonight.

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada to Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada
Things are goning to start changing. Beginning to get into the far north now. Started riding in the mountains this afternoon. Towns are getting smaller and farther apart. Gas could become an issue if you are not paying attention. In and out of rain storms before stopping in Fort Nelson.

Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
Still dark and raining when I left this morning. Forgot to check my ride schedule last night. Got to my first gas stop around 5:30am. Station opened at 6:30am. With the extra gas that I was carrying and with what I had in the tank, it gave me a range of about 180 miles. Closest dependable gas was 202. Might find gas before I got there but decided not to risk it.
Most of the morning I was in the spectacular mountains of BC. Plenty of curves and unbelievable views. This is my favorite section on the Alcan.
Rain continued on and off for most of the day with more on than off.
Make a quick stop in Watson Lake at the Sign Post Forest.
In Whitehorse, YT tonight and hoping to be in Alaska by tomorrow.
