Time on road: 6 hours
Agua Prieta, Sonora to Hermosillo, Sonora
The last leg of the Rat Ride is from Agua Prieta, Sonora to Hermosillo, Sonora and crosses the Sierra Madre Occidental. This was my route for today. It gave me a chance to see what this section is like. The next time that I am on this road it will be night time, and if the weather pattern continues, probably raining for most of the route.
Mountains, curves, vados, small towns, topes (speed bumps Mexican style), rain, and darkness. What more could anyone want for a bike ride. Well, maybe snow, ice, and cold, but you can't always have everything.

29 July 2015
Hermosillo, Sonora
I had planned to get into Hermosillo a day early. This gave me time to organize riding gear, make my final prep for the upcoming ride, and to catch up on my ride report. Just a relaxed day with nothing exciting going on.
"Mexican Desire" is still under her covers and is resting up for her challenge. Erik, her favorite mechanic, will be here later today and tomorrow will give her one last check up and any needed adjustments.
Some of the riders and staff started arriving late this evening. A few of us got together for a late dinner (that is if you are on eastern time) and then back to our rooms for the night.
